CYAN TEXTILES is a line of garments and accessories from visual artist Mika Means. Mika utilizes the cyanotype process and draws from her fine-arts background to create beautiful and functional pieces. Each garment is hand-printed with care on 100% cotton; any variation in color or shape is a natural part of the printing process. No two pieces are alike.

While each cyanotype-printed garment is permanent and archival, it does require special care when laundering:

​

• Keep washing to a minimum if possible
• Hand-wash with phosphate-free detergent only
• Line-drying recommended
• Do not use detergents containing bleach, borax, washing soda or sodium as these will fade and yellow your garment.

​

If fading occurs, you can wash your garment in a diluted bath of hydrogen peroxide to restore some of its color intensity.
